What happens with your tissues and data at the pathology department

For objecting to secondary use in medical research of your tissues this is completely different. That is why you can object to that on a separate form. Objection has no influence at all on your medical treatment or your medical file. Read more in the information the FEDERA has prepared for you.
Erasmus MC has also prepared a Dutch information brochure on this subject and you can object to using your tissues and data collected and stored at Erasmus MC using this Dutch form.
If you object this way, your data and biomaterials are no longer used for medical research. Unless you have given explicit signed informed consent for a specific project. The rules on which the objection method as informed consent is based is described in the FEDERA professional code: Code of conduct for responsible use (2011).
