Flow cytometry facility

Flow cytometry facility (located Erasmus MC, building Nc-floor10)

Flow cytometry is a tool for the quantification of multiple cellular markers or processes, with the possibility of subsequently sorting subpopulations of interest.

Equipment
Currently, the facility of the department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology houses 2 flow cytometry analyzers and one high speed cell sorters.

Flow cytometry analyzers

BD Canto-II
with 3 lasers (405 nm, 488 nm, 640 nm) and 8 fluorescence detectors
The cytometer is equipped with a plate sampler

Miltenyi MACS Quant with 3 lasers (405 nm, 488 nm, 640 nm) and 8 fluorescence detectors
The cytometer is equipped with a plate and tube sampler

Suggested fluorochromes are: Pacific Blue, Amcyan, FITC, PerCP, PE, PE-Cy7, APC, APC-Cy7

Flow cytometry cell sorter (shared facility with dept Internal Medicine, Transplantation unit)

FACS ARIA SORP with 4 lasers (405 nm, 488 nm, 561 nm, 640nm) and 12 fluorescence detectors
Sorting of cells can be performed either by 4-way sorting or in culture plates
The cell sorter can process cell under sterile and BSL-2 conditions

Suggested fluorochromes are: eFluor605, PB, Amcyan; FITC, PerCP, PE, PE-Cy7; PECy5-5, eFluor610, Grn PE, Grn PE-Cy7; APC, APC-Cy7, Alexafluor700
