Wanlu Cao (1989) studied Biological Engineering at the University of China Pharmaceutical University, China (2006-2010). In 2010, she subsequently performed master research in the same university. During this period, her main interest was to investigate the antiangiogenic activity of the vascular endothelial growth factor receptor. From 2013, she started her Ph.D research at the department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Erasmus Medical Center, the Netherlands. She mainly focused on the investigations of dynamics of liver stem cells in liver homeostasis, injury and carcinogenesis.
