Suman Kundu, MSc is a PhD student at the Department of Epidemiology at the Erasmus University Medical Center Rotterdam, the Netherlands. During the first two years of PhD training he obtained his Master of Science in Genetic Epidemiology from the Netherlands Institute for Health Sciences (NIHES). Prior to NIHES Master he received his Master in Mathematics and Statistics from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, India. Currently he is working as a PhD student under the supervision of A. Cecile J.W. Janssens, PhD.

Suman Kundu’s research focuses on the evaluation of genetic profiling in the prediction of complex diseases, using techniques from genetic epidemiology, clinical epidemiology and meta-analysis. His main focuses are investigate the usefulness of multiple genetic testing using simulated data, modeling studies, risk differentiation which will be useful in clinical care and public health.
