Rachel Kalf is a PhD student at the Department of Epidemiology at the Erasmus University Medical Center Rotterdam, the Netherlands. She received her Bachelor degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from the Hogeschool van Amsterdam, and she received her Master degree in Nutrition and Health at the Wageningen University.

Currently she is a PhD student at the Department of Epidemiology at the Erasmus University Medical Center Rotterdam. She works under the supervision of Associate Professor A. Cecile J.W. Janssens, PhD. At the same time she is following the master courses on Clinical and Public Health Genomics at the NIHES, Erasmus University Medical Center Rotterdam.

Research
Rachel Kalf’s research focuses on the assessment of genetic profiling in the prediction of complex diseases, using techniques from genetic epidemiology, clinical epidemiology and meta-analysis.
