Crispijn van den Brand

Crispijn is interested in traumatic brain injury. His research focuses on epidemiology, risk factors and decision making in (mild) traumatic brain injury.

Crispijn van den Brand 1 Crispijn van den Brand studied medicine at the University of Leiden. He graduated in 2005 and subsequently he did his residency training in emergency medicine in the Medical Center Haaglanden, The Hague. After his board certification in 2011 he continued to work in the Medical Center Haaglanden (currently MCH-Bronovo). He has a special interest in neurotrauma. Currently he works on his PhD thesis under supervision of Professor M.G.M Hunink and Professor P. Patka. His work focuses on decision making in mild traumatic brain injury. Besides his work as emergency physician Crispijn is active in the board of the Netherlands Society of Emergency Physicians of which he is the president since 2013.

Crispijn is interested in traumatic brain injury. His research focuses on epidemiology, risk factors and decision making in (mild) traumatic brain injury. Besides traumatic brain injury Crispijn also does research on the implementation of the relatively new specialization of emergency medicine in the Netherlands.
