Claudia van Waardhuizen

Claudia has a Master's degree in Health Economics, Policy and Law and joined the NIHES Master programme in Clinical Epidemiology in 2012.

Claudia van Waardhuizen currently is coordinator of the Sophia children's Biobank and research coordinator at the Research Office Sophia of the Theme Sophia in the Erasmus MC.
Claudia has a Master's degree in Health Economics, Policy and Law (HEPL) and joined the NIHES Master programme in Clinical Epidemiology in 2012. Currently she is a MSc student at the departments of Epidemiology and Radiology of the Erasmus MC working on a research project on cost-effectiveness of non-invasive diagnostic methods of cardiovascular diseases under the supervision of M.G. Myriam Hunink, MD, PhD.

Research
Claudia van Waardhuizen's research focuses on  diagnostic imaging strategies for patients with chest pain who are suspected of having coronary artery disease, using the techniques from clinical epidemiology, decision modeling, systematic reviews, meta-analyses and cost-effectiveness analysis. Main interests are the cost-effective applications of non-invasive diagnostic imaging strategies and prediction models for the presence of obstructive coronary artery disease.
