Dutch Heart Foundation grant Kim van der heiden

Dr. Kim van der Heiden (right) was awarded a personal grant by the Dutch HeartFoundation (Dekker Senior Postdoc 2014T096) in which she will study human carotid atherosclerotic plaque lipidomics with MALDI-IMS by imaging of different lipid species

Jolanda Wentzel received the ERC grant 2012

Jolanda Wentzel received the ERC starters grant 2012 (1.877.000 euro). The ERC starters Grants aims to support up-and-coming research leaders who are about to establish a proper research team and to start conducting independent research in Europe and who have the proven potential of becoming independent research leaders. The project is entitled "Full biomechanical characterization of the coronary atherosclerotic  plaque: biomechanics meets imaging". In this project the role of biomechanical parameters in the development of rupture prone atherosclerotic plaques in (human) coronary arteries is studied using state-of-the-art intravascular imaging techniques.
